Cancelled Gig… :(
The gig at Proud Galleries got cancelled last night! Major upset! I apologise to all that wanted to come down or did and came to an empty venue…No fault of our own but due to weather conditions it was an impossible task to even attempt to go on. Guess what caused it all….S.N.O.W

I just find it so odd that just the smallest amount of Snow and London comes to a stand still. Last year was bad enough, and then they had no salt left! WOW!
Don’t get me wrong I love the snow, hoping for a white Christmas but just the way London handles it, is appalling.

Well really routing for that White Christmas! Hope it comes…I have a lot of presents to open and haven’t been this excited like this since I was a child! Ahh the good times!

Plain Janes & Yo Mama New Year's Eve PARTY!!!
Its here!!!! The NYE event that everyone is talking about! I must say it’s good to hear this on the lips of people that I keep bumping into! So will be seeing some familiar faces down there!! Wooop!! Wooop!
As a member of Plain Janes we do nothing ordinary from what is out there and this goes for the New Years’ Eve Party in Collaboration with Yo Mama! So if you are somehow new to this, here’s a reminder of the both…

The Crew
Yo Mama! Have been putting on parties for nearly 2 years – and that’s just what they do, “parties”. It’s an urban flavour, but it comes with a sense of humour - they stick jokes all over the wall, play tracks that sample Yazoo and finish it off with big hip hop sing-a-longs and dance offs to shake the floor.
Plain Janes are an urban art collective with a focus on good vibes and pop culture and interactivity. They don’t want you to sit around and watch, you need to get involved. They’ve been throwing down parties, guerrilla art attacks and cultural happenings all year and New Years Eve is no exception!

Of course there’ll be DJs spinning the best urban party tracks around, from Hip Hop, Baltimore club, Bashment, Baile Funk, Afrobeat, UK Funky and much more. We’ll also have a dance school where you can learn the right moves to put with the right tracks. The New Years weave crew will be fixing your hair to look right before you get a shot in the photo booth, and Plain Janes back up dancers will be putting on a show especially for you. And because we’re putting the night on in Catch Bar, expect that secluded underground feel to the night, and a bar you can get a drink from!
But this is all facts, we can’t describe the vibe we create, it’s about dancing, it’s about trying something different, and it’s about fun! So get that outfit together, learn a step or two and let’s have a party!

Timbaland Feat Drake - Say Something
Oh yes!! From one of my favorite tracks on the album, Shock Value II – Say Something feat Drake. Speaking of Drake, why is this dude stalling on dropping his album. It had better be worth the wait when it drops.

What a night yesterday at the gig at Hoxton Bar & Grill…
When I tell you the unexpected amount of guests that turned up to support us was overwhelming! Mind blowing!
Hot sweaty bodies bumping to our music could not have been any better than we had it last night! So much love. We all appreciated that! Took us by surprise, the packed out, sold out venue…Good things to come… We can feel it!
In case you weren’t there here’s watch you missed out on…catch the YouTube clip we found …Songs by order….

Rehearsal Weekender - Clement Marfo & The Frontline
Rehearsals this weekend was intense! Doing both 8hours on Saturday and Sunday really took a lot out of us. But you can never practice too much in reaching perfection.
We’re really looking forward to the Hoxton Bar and Grill gig on the 8th. A completely new set, 6 new tracks at that…. it’s going to be spectacular.
Last day of rehearsal finished on a high. We had Jamie T (who was rehearsing at the studio space next to ours) poped on over and have a listen to a couple tracks and he loved it!
The next day or so, a lot of sleeping and mental preparation for the gig… Check out the Video clip. Taking a break at rehearsals, messing around playing some old skool track…watch my major drum playing! LOL! One day I’m gonna try and be as good as Dion…

Beyonce - Sweet Dreams (Acoustic)
I have not yet had the chance to see Beyonce live, but seeing this clip really got the hairs on my neck standing! This song just took on a whole new meaning. Stripped down, I love it! Her vocals on this are just beyond ridiculous, Icon in the making… I think so, or even just ICON!
